Hi, my name is Thomas Blaye.

After almost 10 years as a speaker, and as a trainer & coach for a wide variety of organizations, I’ve learned a thing or 2 about effective public speaking.

From business pitches to storytelling, from stand-up comedy to eulogies and judging panels: I’ve done it all.

Voka Pitching Workshop

Whether you’re experienced at public speaking and want to take things to the next level, or you struggle to even utter 1 word in front of a group of people, I can help you, both in English and in Dutch.

No matter how trivial the setting, public speaking is an art form, and there is no “one frame fits all“.

… what others have to say …

We've been working with Thomas on pitching workshops, coaching and the Shark Tank for a few years now. Students feel noticeably more confident after his sessions, and faculty members can clearly see the results in their pitches. Thomas combines authenticity and humor with dynamism and practical tips that resonate well with the students. He's proactive, engaging and genuinely easy to work with. This partnership has definitely added tremendous value to our program...

I guide individuals in curating a speaking style that plays to their own strengths as a speaker, one that feels authentic and aligns what works in general with what works for them.

Why Human?

‣ I was interested in Buddhism & Taoism from a young age, and ended up studying East Asian studies, learning Mandarin & living in China. I have also trained in & practiced various forms of meditation throughout my life: Vipassana, Transcendental Meditation & Kundalini yoga.

‣ As such, my coaching style is very human-centered, and often draws on the metaphorical & the archetypal.

Why Software?

‣ On the other hand, I have experience in startup businesses, large corporations, business transformation, software project management and trained as a NLP Practitioner.

‣ As such, I don’t do fluff; I approach communication & mindset problems logically & pragmatically, as engineering or coding problems.
Words – internal or external – are nothing more than code. To get the desired output, it’s just a matter of finding the right semantics & syntax, and that always starts with asking the right questions.
